Dear Friends & Competitors,

On October 12, we had announced the postponement of our annual Night Under The Lights 3-on-3 basketball tournament. The tournament originally scheduled for October 16-17 was rescheduled to November 21. All those who registered were given the option of a) receiving a full refund, b) donating some or all of their registration, or c) staying registered for the postponement date. We are grateful that many of you chose to stay registered.

Today we are announcing that this year’s Night Under The Lights is officially cancelled. All participants will receive an automatic refund of their full registration fee to their original payment method. Refunds may take up to 5 business days to appear on your statement.

No action is required from you. If you registered for Night Under The Lights, your refund will be automatically processed. Please allow until next Friday November 20 for the money to post to your statement.

The decision was made in response to the Health Officer Order issued October 12, that was extended on November 9. The prohibition on gatherings of more than 25 people simply makes our event impossible.

The specific restriction affecting this tournament is based on the Health Officer Order issued October 12, 2020. The relevant portion reads as follows:

Except as otherwise indicated below, all group physical gatherings, including but not limited to all businesses, organizations, and private gatherings shall be limited to no more than 25 individuals, regardless of the ability to physically distance or location. This restriction applies to both indoor and outdoor events.

We thank each of you for your support this year and in years past. We hope to resume “normal” activities soon.
